Yōkai Night
🎃 Yōkai Night is Nani Pix’s Halloween season. Its games are horror, supernatural, mythology, vampire, action, adventure and fantasy anime under a moonlit sky, and Japan’s spirits come out to play: some rounds are haunted, one night is the Night Parade, the whole group snuffs 100 candles to wake a giant skeleton, and players can hex each other. Nani Pix dresses up too. The group’s admins pick when it runs (see Scheduling seasons).

This page lists everything the season gives. Its new mechanics each have their own page:
- Haunted rounds and the Night Parade: about 1 round in 4 is haunted, and pays double 🪙;
- 100 Candles: a group goal that ends in the Gashadokuro boss game;
- Hexes: curse a fellow player with 🪙;
- Omikuji and charms: a daily fortune slip, the Ofuda 📜 and the Omamori 🧿.
The pass, the shop and cosmetics work as in every season: see Season Coins and the Season Pass, the Season Shop and cosmetics.
The rules of the season
Section titled “The rules of the season”- Theme. Only horror, supernatural, mythology, vampire, action, adventure or fantasy anime can be played in a season game. An anime qualifies when it carries the Horror, Supernatural, Action, Adventure or Fantasy genre or the Mythology or Vampire theme. Nani Pix checks it the same way as in Sakura Season: she says right away when an anime doesn’t fit, and asks for another. On the Night Parade the theme is narrower.
- Moonlight. The pixelated pictures of the season’s games get a night look on their edges: an indigo tint, moonlight from the top left, the moon with a tiny witch on a broom in one top corner and bats with a spider in the other. The centre of the picture stays exactly as pixelated.
- Haunted rounds. About 25% of the season’s rounds are haunted: the picture is twisted, and every 🪙 of the round is doubled. See Haunted rounds.
- Nani Pix in costume. While the season runs she wears pumpkin accessories, or the costume of whoever started the round (see Nani Pix’s costume).
- No clue discount. Clues cost the usual price in this season.
- Premium costs 300 💠, and leftover 🪙 turn into 💠 at 2 for 1 when the season ends.
